2019 Lexus RX Preview in Chattanooga, TN
Though Lexus has not yet released the official details, features list, and specifications for the 2019 Lexus RX, experts in the field are already predicting what we might see from this new model while others have gotten to take advanced test drives. Keep in mind actual features may differ from our conjecture below, but we expect our guesses for 2019 Lexus RX features to be accurate.
In general, the 2019 RX model likely won’t see too many dramatic updates from the 2018 VERSION, as the RX just started its new generation in 2016 and is not yet due for a refresh. We estimate that the Lexus RX will undergo a deeper redesign in 2020 or 2021.
In terms of tech, the 2019 Lexus RX 350L will feature an optional 12.3-inch center stack display (a best-in-class feature) and the Remote Touch infotainment interface. The RX model also gets a suite of standard safety features, including self-centering lane keep assist (called steering assist), stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, and a pre-collision system (automatic emergency braking).
This model will be powered by a V6 engine and can be had on a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive platform. The available RX 450hL hybrid model is available exclusively with all-wheel drive and bumps fuel economy to 28 miles per gallon.* Standard features on the hybrid model include a continuously variable automatic transmission, second-row captain’s chair, leather-trimmed seats, and memory settings for the driver seat, side mirror, and steering wheel. The 2019 Lexus RX will also come with Lexus Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect for 10 years.
The 2019 Lexus RX will be available with a third row. This extended-wheelbase version is called the RXL and can seat up to seven occupants.
We expect the 2019 Lexus RX to go on sale as early as this December. Stop by Lexus of Chattanooga this winter and see it for yourself!
